Beth Wilson
Chief Advancement Officer
Beth is the Chief Advancement Officer for SERJobs and is directly responsible for successfully creating, leading, and implementing an integrated resource development strategy and developing new relationships while maintaining existing relationships to build the organization’s visibility, impact, and financial resources.
She has more than twenty years’ experience in philanthropy at various healthcare organizations. She was previously the Senior Director of Development at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston focusing on major and planned gifts. She held the position of Executive Director for a local non-profit. Her career began at the American Heart Association, where she worked her way up in the organization and then spent the last seven years as a Regional Director managing seven boards in the Gulf Coast area of Houston.
She is a graduate of the University of Phoenix and holds both a Master of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor’s in Business Marketing.
She is currently serving her sixth year on the board of directors for the Association of Fundraising Professionals Houston Chapter. In 2020, she served as President-Elect and Interim President, previously serving as Secretary. She is past Chair of the Ask the Experts Conference and currently the Chair for the National Philanthropy Day set for November 15, 20223
When she is not trying to raise funds, she loves to garden, hangout with her grandchildren (6), or pets (2 dogs and 1 cat). She and her husband love to travel by car to see the sights.
